Competition News October 2026

We are fast approaching the end of year competition for 2026.

Our last competition for 2026 Comp 6 open and set Tryptich, telling a story Judging night is Tuesday 27 October. Good luck to who entered images, it is also a great night to hear the judges’ comments on all images that were entered.

The End of year entries are due are Tuesday 27 October. You are allowed to submit the following entries that have been submitted into one of our 6 rounds of competitions.

End of year Print for A grade = 1 x Print

End of year digital for A grade = 1 x Digital

End of year Print for B grade = 1 x print

End of year digital for B grade. 1 x Digital.

Graeme Brown Portrait Award – 1 x digital only and can be either digital of the digital version of the print submitted)

Naval Base Meritorious Award – 3 x digital only. Portfolio and can be digital or the digital version of the print submitted.

Looking ahead for 2027 our first competition will be set subject Monochrome and open. Entries will be due at our first meeting 08 February.

Start Thinking About Your VAPS Submissions!

It’s time to start thinking about submitting your prints and digital images for VAPS (Victorian Association of Photographic Societies).

Submissions will be due in March 2027, when the selections will be made to represent our club at the VAPS Convention in May 2027.

Your images can be on any subject and do not need to have been entered into one of our club competitions.

The remaining set competition themes entries will be advised by the end of this year.
