Autumn Colours Bright Weekend Away

The weekend of 10-12 May saw 20 Members and family head to Bright.  Although the Club has been to Bright before (not in my time) there is certainly plenty to see and photograph.

It was the intention not to visit any waterfalls or go up to Mt. Buffalo, as our main focus for the weekend, was the autumn colours.  We did visit Sinclairs waterhole, which surprisingly had a fair amount of water cascading over the rocks. Luckily we went this weekend as it was obvious that given another week, there would be very few leaves left on the trees.

Some Members had ventured up a few days earlier, which was good in a way, as Neil, Brian and Larry visited a couple of the sites which we intended to hold an event or venture to for sunrise only to find it unsuitable due to being difficult to navigate. Alternative venues were found.

I thought it was a great weekend and certainly a lovely place to visit in autumn.  Some of the Members headed home Sunday after meeting up for breakfast, coming home via a few different locations.

Workshop: Paper Bag Challenge

We dive back into our Paper Bag Challenge. Members will break into teams and make images with a mystery item. Teams will be encouraged to take a variety of photos and amongst themselves select and edit their final entry... all in the space of a single meeting.

The images will then be presented and critiqued with a winning image selected by all in attendance.
