Start: Federation Square 2:30pm

End: Seafarers Bridge/South Wharf eateries 6:00/6:30pm

Distance:  approximately 2km 

Sunset is 5:16pm with Civil end at 5:43pm

Bring along your camera gear and tripod as we venture into the world of Still Life Photography.

Plan is a few stations:
Setup 1: with a studio light & diffuser

Setup 2: with a cheap light, diffuser to soften the light and a reflector  

Setup 3: with a video LED light & diffuser and a reflector. 

Setup 4: a slice of kiwi fruit, and a rose with back-lighting

A number of medium to smallish backdrops will be used.

President’s laptop will be used at Walker Close. We will try our webcam to show each setup and explain the setup, camera settings, lighting, etc.

It has become a tradition and a fun day out looking for fungi in the misty mountains of Mount Macedon. There is a huge array of fungi to see.

Meet on the shores of Altona Beach and make some wonderful images using light, and our fellow members. It's always a great night out of the club rooms.

Robert Moyses, one of our members, has been hitting it out of the park when it comes to his Still Life work and he has graciously agreed to share his methodology with us in a presentation.

Enjoy a day in Malmsbury and its surrounds, an hour's drive from our club rooms. We'll start at the Cascades before heading to the Holden Car Museum, and then rounding our day out in Malmsbury common with some lunch and a walk through the botanic garden and a viewing of the historic viaduct.

The Paper Bag Challenge is a quick-paced adventure right there in the clubrooms as we are split into teams and given a mystery item to photography. It is always fun to see what the members come up with once presented with the unexpected item. Members who Zoom in will also be able to participate.

We leave the clubrooms behind and head out for a night photoshoot starting at Siddeley Street Car Park. Note the earlier start time of 7pm.

The course our city walk takes is TBC but we have the option of going over to Docklands or checking out South Wharf.

Cost of parking is $12 per vehicle, members are encouraged to carpool.

Meeting at the Information Centre in Commonwealth Reserve off Nelson Place in Williamstown at 9am.

Bring along an image or two for which you would like some feedback. We'll break into groups of 4 or 5 and discuss the images presented.

We hear from the makers of the Images of the year for 2021 and hear about their approach to their work.

This is an opt in event, if you haven't already RSVPed and paid you've missed out for this year.

As with last year's dinner, due to it being such a success, we'll be hosting this in our club rooms. Join us for a wonderful social gathering with food and friends as we celebrate the year that was and look forward to the year to come.
