After nearly seven months without seeing anyone in person due to COVID-19 restrictions, 18 Club Members met in Geelong outside the Geelong Library and Heritage Centre, what an amazing building! With a couple of our upcoming competitions in mind, we wandered around the area taking "Window" and "Architecture" shots.
Competition results for our first competition of 2022 - Monochrome and Digital. Our judge was Brian Basham. He found our images to be quite impressive, and in particular liked the array of portraits on display.

We would like to take this opportunity, the end of our 2021 year, to thank our members who have stuck with us for yet another interesting year that saw our planned syllabus thrown into disarray due to COVID.
We thank our of our wonderful presenters, judges, and members who have shared their skills and knowledge with us through 2021 and we look forward to sharing our 2022 syllabus with you all soon.
Competition 6 Results
Our judge for this competition was Dave Sumner. This is Dave's third time judging for our club and he enjoyed our images.
This round's set subject was Macro, defined as:
A form of close-up photography where the captured subject is presented at a ratio of 1:1 or greater. Typically a specialised Macro lens is used, though the result may also be achieved through the use of extension tubes, macro filters, and/or reverse mounting your lens. The aim is to show enhanced details in common subjects that we may otherwise not notice.
It was with much anticipation and expectation that our Apollo Bay weekend away finally arrived after many weeks of Covid 19 lockdown.
There were approximately 21 club members who attended, most arriving on a blustery, cold, Friday night, with most getting meals out and keeping out of the weather.
We will meet, eat, and drink, celebrating the year that was 2023 and present our end of year awards
As with previous years this will be held at our club rooms with catering provided.
Cost is $18 per person for food with members encouraged to bring along drink and nibbles to share.
Payment to attend must be paid by November 30, 2023 via our bank account details found on our Membership page, include your competition number and surname in the reference field.
